clevermethod in the community.

Being active in your community isn’t just about making a donation—it’s about making a difference. That’s why at clevermethod, we believe in applying our skills as designers, developers and marketers to give back to the place that has been our home for nearly 20 years. We’ve combined our technical chops with our love for hockey, music, the arts, fighting cancer and supporting our local communities to be a part of something much bigger than ourselves.

fighting cancer head on.

When 11 Day Power Play founders Mike and Amy Lesakowski came to us with the idea, we knew we had to be involved. What started as a brainstorm transformed into an annual event that has now raised over $2.5 million for critical cancer research at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, as well as Camp Good Days and Make-A-Wish WNY. We threw ourselves into the design of the website, creating custom illustrations that captured the essence of the fight, both on and off the ice.

As the 11 Day Power Play continues to grow, we remain a support team for the organization behind the scenes—keeping the website updated with the latest information for team, captains, players, donors, volunteers, sponsors and supporters.

imagining the possibilities.

The East Aurora Educational Foundation is committed to the next generation of scientists, engineers, innovators, creators, critical thinkers and problem solvers—right in our backyard! In 2018, they had a goal to raise $100,000. clevermethod helped the foundation get the word out about its purpose, their annual fundraising event, and Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) education in general.

Our creative team designed posters, invitations, banners, and a thorough case statement explaining why their donations were so desperately needed. And we are proud to say that the foundation met their $100,000 goal! This was a cause that hit home for us, with many cleverkids currently (or soon to be) in the East Aurora School District.

concerts for a cause.

Since its inception, clevermethod has been a proud supporter of the East Aurora Music Festival. From the design of the initial logo, to the design, development and on-going maintenance of the website, we are proud to a part of the organization that gives so much back to the local community. Over the past six years, the annual event has raised $275,000 for a variety of non-profit organizations including People and Places, the Aurora ICE Association, the East Aurora Educational Foundation, WNY Heroes, the East Aurora Schools Music Boosters and the East Aurora Boys & Girls Club.

helping individuals to smile.

Patrick Kaleta’s Helping Individuals To Smile (HITS) Foundation focuses on providing underserved communities, low-income families and individuals with special needs with a way to participate in organized sports. This was another opportunity that we couldn’t turn down.

With some exciting new developments in the works, we are proud to be helping the HITS Foundation relaunch its website and online presence—and we can’t wait to see how much we can truly make the people of WNY smile.
