how we unified CCIDA’s digital experience into one clear, user-friendly platform
When the County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency (CCIDA) launched its new “Choose CHQ” and “Live CHQ” campaigns, they needed a website that could finally bring their story and their three separate agencies together in one place.
Their old digital ecosystem included multiple disconnected sites, outdated content, and no clear path for the two audiences they needed to serve, which were businesses looking to invest and individuals considering a move to the area.
the challenge
Create one modern, intuitive WordPress site that:
- Combines the 3 agencies that included CCIDA, CREDC, and CRC.
- Separated business and residential content clearly.
- Supports state-required meeting notes and documents.
- Applies new campaign branding with ADA compliance.
- Is simple for the internal team to update.
- Launches in time for a major county-wide campaign.
our approach
We began with a full content strategy, mapping every page across three websites and rebuilding the structure from the ground up. Working alongside Block Club’s new branding, we translated their campaign design into a clean, accessible digital system.
We then developed a custom WordPress site featuring:
- A dual-path navigation for “Choose CHQ” and “Live CHQ”.
- Custom tools for meetings, minutes, and project updates.
- Constant Contact email integration.
- Hosting, deployment, and hands-on training for CCIDA’s team.
the outcome
Since the launch of the unified platform, CCIDA’s website has seen strong, measurable growth year over year. From 2024 to 2025, active users increased to 196,000, with 195,000 new users, reflecting a significant expansion in reach following the consolidation of the three agencies into one site. User activity trended steadily upward throughout the year, with 12,000 active users in the last 30 days alone, indicating continued momentum beyond launch.
Engagement metrics further reinforce the platform’s effectiveness. Visitors spent an average of 30 seconds engaged per active user and collectively generated 304,000 page views and over 1 million tracked events, including scrolling, clicks, and content interactions demonstrating that users are actively exploring the site rather than quickly exiting. Compared to the prior year, the site delivered higher traffic, sustained engagement time, and significantly increased interaction volume highlighting the impact of a clearer structure, improved content pathways, and a unified digital experience.
